Men's Bowling Claims Victory at Cardinal Classic



Railsplitters are tournament victors for the first time since 2019


MUNCIE, Ind. – The Lincoln Memorial University men's bowling team opened the 2021-22 season claiming the title at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State, winning the program's third first-place finish, and the first since Oct. 13, 2019.

championship Sunday afternoon since the triumph in 2019 at the Orange and Black Classic. LMU held off Wright State with a total pin-fall of 7,415.
 
Wright State (7,198) finished as runners-up on the weekend, followed by Lourdes University (6,868) Rio Grande University (6,753), Indiana (6,451), Mid-Michigan Community College (6,206), Bellarmine University (6,127) and Northern Kentucky (5,725).
 
"Ian Friesner held up our program as an anchor this weekend, in addition to Alex Linnenbrink and Matthew Mikels setting the tone," head coach Torrie Bartalone said. "Braedyn Hofmeister and Zachary Cook led off our team to some strong early success on a tough house pattern."
