Equestrian Wins Second Day of Sewanee Show; Four Tigers Win Classes



SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South equestrian team recorded another High Point Team honor to finish the Sewanee IHSA Show, Sunday from the Howell Equestrian Center. This marks the first time since 2015 that the Purple and White took home the top honor both days.

FINAL RESULTS
-Four Tigers took home blue ribbons on Sunday. Nell Grady took home the top spot in the Limit Flat A. 

-After winning the Novice Flat on Saturday, Revie Atkinson won the class again on Sunday. 

-Abby Walker won the Pre-Novice Flat, while Caroline Gramig won the Intro Walk/Trot for a second straight day. 

-Liza Shoaf (Open Over Fences) and Ellie Johnson (Limit Flat B) took second place in their respective events. 

-Gigi Aiken took third place in the Open Flat and fifth in the Open Over Fences class. 

-Sarah Buchholz earned third place honors in the Intermediate Over Fences class and sixth in the Open Flat.

-Siena London earned fourth place in the Intermediate Flat. 

-The University of the South, Vanderbilt University, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee Tech, University of Tennessee, Murray State University and Western Kentucky University all competed in this weekend's festivities. Murray State took home Reserve High Point honors both days.

The IHSA team returns to action Oct. 22-24 in Maryville.
