Mo'ne Davis Steps Out For Kids Choice Sports Awards 2015

Los Angeles, California - Fourteen year old Little League Baseball Pitcher Mo'ne Davis looked great wearing a 'Cardinals' T-shirt, white shorts and red sneakers as she steps out for the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Sports Awards held at UCLA Pauley Pavilion on Thursday, July 16th, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.

Mo'ne Ikea Davis is an American Little League Baseball pitcher from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is one of two girls who played in the 2014 Little League World Series and is the first girl to earn a win and to pitch a shutout in Little League World Series history. She is the 18th girl overall to play, the sixth to get a hit, and the first African-American girl to play in the Little League World Series. She is also the first Little League baseball player to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a Little League player.

Mo'ne Davis Movie, "Throw Like MO," In Development For Disney Channel

Development is underway on a Disney Channel Original Movie "Throw Like Mo" – a biographical movie that will tell the inspiring story of Mo'ne Davis, the 13-year-old sports prodigy who made history in August 2014 as the first female to pitch a shutout in the Little League World Series. Davis, a member of Philadelphia's Taney Dragons and the first Little League player to make the cover of Sports Illustrated, will consult on the movie.

"Throw Like Mo" will be executive-produced by the Emmy Award-nominated producer Debra Martin Chase ("The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," Disney Channel's "The Cheetah Girls" movies and "Lemonade Mouth"). The writers are Sheldon Candis (writer and director of "LUV," "A Slave in the White House" and director of Under Armour's Misty Copeland campaign "I Will What I Want") and Justin Wilson ("LUV," "A Slave in the White House"). espnW, which has extensively covered the achievements of Mo'ne Davis, will also consult on the movie.
