UPDATE 11:25am EDT: Information from a press conference held regrading the shooting death of Christina Grimmie, 22, a beautiful person and singer.
Information from Orlando Police Department press conference.
Suspect who shot @TheRealGrimmie is a 27yo WM. He is not local. He was armed with 2 handguns and a hunting knife.
@ChiefJohnMina: 10:30p OPD responded to call of shooting at Plaza Live.
Officers arrived and found two people had been shot.
@ChiefJohnMina Our prayers and thoughts are with the Grimmie family. OPD detectives are meeting with her parents
Investigation: it appears suspect was alone, approached @TheRealGrimmie during meet & greet w/fans & opened fire.
@TheRealGrimmie died from those gunshot wounds. Her brother is a hero and possibly saved countless other lives. He is not injured.
@ChiefJohnMina Christina Grimmie's brother Marcus tackled the suspect & shortly after that suspect killed himself.
@ChiefJohnMina There was security at the venue but they are not armed & there were no extra duty OPD officers
Detectives are looking at his phone and computer and hope to identify a motive. His name will be released in a few hours.

DEVELOPING: United States Air Force Thunderbird Crashes During Graduation Ceremony

The crash occurred approximately 5 nautical miles south of Peterson Air Force Base at approximately 1 p.m. The pilot ejected safely and is with medical personnel undergoing evaluation as a precaution.
The Air Force will perform a thorough investigation into the causes of the mishap, and those findings will be released when the investigation is complete.
DEVELOPING: Blue Angel F/A-18 Crashes During Air Show Practice

The pilot of the jet was taking off to start the afternoon practice when the mishap occurred.
The name of the pilot is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification requirements.
The other five Blue Angel jets were not involved in the incident and landed safely moments later.
The crash occurred approximately two miles from the runway
The Navy will conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash.

DEVELOPING: Marysville High School Shooting Leaves Two Dead, Four Injuried, 3 Of Which Crucially

UPDATE #2: The shooter has been named Jaylen Fryberg, a freshman, football player and who was recently named homecoming king.
UPDATE #1: 2 dead includes shooter, 4 critically injured according to Washington TV station KOMO News.
DEVELOPING...Marysville, Washington - Marysville police, ems and fire are currently on scene of a school shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
Also on scene is the Snohomish Sheriff department and FBI swat team.
What we know at this time, students have been taken away from the scene on buses, student shooter is dead and four were transported by EMS to hospital with head wounds. The shooting occured at 10:39amPT. Police units are currently working to secure the school campus.

DEVELOPING: Navy F/A-18 Hornets Crash in Pacific Ocean

One pilot was rapidly located and returned to Carl Vinson, and is currently receiving medical attention. Search efforts continue for the second pilot.
The search for the second pilot includes guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill (CG 52) and guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) and helicopters assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 15 (HSC 15) and Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 73 (HSM 73).
The two F/A-18C Hornets have not been recovered.
All remaining airborne aircraft were safely recovered onboard.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
Carl Vinson and embarked Carrier Air Wing 17 are currently underway in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

DEVELOPING: Texas blues icon Johnny Winter has passed away on July 16, 2014 in his hotel room in Zurich, Switzerland.
His wife, family and bandmates are all saddened by the loss of their loved one and one of the world's finest guitarists.
An official statement with more details shall be issued at the appropriate time.
Johnny Winter was scheduled to perform at the 67th Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, Maine.
The Maine Lobster Festival posted this via their Facebook page. "We were saddened to hear the news of Johnny Winter's passing this morning. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and band during this difficult time."

DEVELOPING: 7th Fleet Sends USS Pinckney, P-3C to Assist in Malaysian Air Search

Pinckney was conducting training and maritime security operations in international waters of the South China Sea. The ship could be in vicinity of the missing jet within 24 hours and carries two MH-60R helicopters equipped for search and rescue.
A P-3C Orion aircraft will also depart shortly from Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan bringing long-range search, radar and communications capabilities to the efforts.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by this tragic event.
