Four MNPD Veterans Receiving New Year's Day Promotions

New Lieutenant Garet Davidson, an 8-year MNPD veteran
Nashville, Tennessee - Chief Steve Anderson this morning announced the promotions of one sergeant to the rank of lieutenant and three officers to the rank of sergeant effective tomorrow.

New Lieutenant Garet Davidson, an 8-year MNPD veteran, will lead the Central Precinct’s evening shift. He most recently was a shift supervisor at the Madison Precinct. Davidson holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Bethel University.
New Sergeant David Abbott, a 7-year MNPD veteran

New Sergeant David Abbott, a 7-year MNPD veteran, will be a supervisor on the Madison Precinct’s evening shift. He most recently was a member of the Traffic Division’s DUI Unit. Abbott holds an Associate’s Degree from Franklin Pierce University.
New Sergeant Walter Gray, a 15-year MNPD veteran

New Sergeant Walter Gray, a 15-year MNPD veteran, will be a supervisor on the Central Precinct’s overnight shift. He most recently was an officer at the West Precinct.
New Sergeant Brandon Tennant, a 10-year MNPD veteran

New Sergeant Brandon Tennant, a 10-year MNPD veteran, will be a supervisor on the West Precinct’s evening shift. He most recently was a member of the Juvenile Crime Task Force. Tennant holds a Master’s Degree from Cumberland University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Oakland City University.
