ROME, Ga. - The University of the South men's soccer team saw its four-match unbeaten streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon, as reigning Southern Athletic Association champion Berry College took the victory, 3-0, Saturday from Bob Pearson Field. This was the conference opener for both teams.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers saw themselves down a hole early, as Nathan Carlson (23') and Zachary Ernst (26') gave the hosts the quick 2-0 advantage.
-Berry added a penalty kick goal in the 39th minute from Carlson.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Tashinga Vhumisai, Evan Poole and Drew Zolper each had a shot for Sewanee in the match.
-JP Furman (3-2-1) stopped three shots in full time.
BERRY KEY STATISTICS
-Nathan Carlson had two goals and an assist in the match to lead Berry.
-Jose Palacios earned the win in goal, playing the first half.
