The shots were not finding the net for Tennessee Wesleyan to begin the game. Indiana Tech capitalized on the Bulldogs' misfortune, scoring four straight goals to hold a 4-0 advantage. Jacob Patterson got TWU on the board though, taking a pass from Gavin Greco and putting it into the net with 11 seconds remaining until the in the first quarter.
A rhythm was found by the Bulldogs in the second quarter, getting goals from Jaylan Steen, off an Ian Gonzalez pass, and Roderick Williams. The goals brought Tennessee Wesleyan within two as the scoreboard read 5-3. Greco's goal with 2:37 remaining kept the Bulldogs within striking distance at halftime, making the score 7-4 at the intermission.
The misfortune from the first quarter returned for TWU in the second half, with their shot attempts missing the inside portion between the posts. The home Warriors took advantage of the Bulldogs' missed chances, scoring four goals in each of the final two quarters to win the game 15-4.
Willams, Steen, Greco and Patterson each had a goal in the contest. Kalen Fearing had 11 saves in the net.
Tennessee Wesleyan (0-4) takes on their third ranked opponent in a row when they face #9 St. Ambrose University in Athens. The game is set to begin at 1:00 PM on the TWU Soccer/Lacrosse Field.
